Join us Labor Day Weekend for our Annual Art for Conservation Show and Sale!
This Labor Day weekend, ESLT will bring its 5th annual Art for Conservation Show and Sale to Mammoth Lakes! Held in conjunction with Mono Council for the Arts’ Labor Day Festival of the Arts and Music, ESLT’s Art for Conservation will take place at Sam’s Wood Site August 31 – September 2. We’re showcasing the artwork of over twenty of our members, each piece evoking a unique story about our magnificent Eastern Sierra lands.
Our artists care deeply about this inspiring and special place, and are donating 50% of their sales to help with ESLT’s important conservation efforts. Stop by our booth and show you care, too: purchase a timeless work of art and support our mission to preserve Eastern Sierra lands in perpetuity! A wide variety of original, framed oil paintings, watercolors, and photographs – as well as matted prints and greeting cards – will be offered throughout the weekend.
Since its inception in 2009, the annual Art for Conservation Show and Sale has featured the work of professional artists who want to help ESLT preserve our unique Eastern Sierra landscape. Held alternately in Southern California or in the Eastern Sierra, this event aims to inspire the community with our artist’s visions of the Eastern Sierra’s natural beauty and indelible character.
ESLT is thrilled to participate in the 44th annual Labor Day Festival of the Arts and Music. Including artwork by more than 100 artists hailing from across the Western United States, this free festival is one of Mammoth Lakes’ most well-attended events. Featuring talented local bands, a cocktail lounge and beer garden, great food, and a number of kids’ art activities, this festival is an annual favorite.
Here is a collection of some of our members’ artwork, much of which will be available for purchase at the show over Labor Day weekend:
